About

As I have journeyed through life, I've finally after  70 years been awakened to my life-long desire to create art.   Not many things in life make me happier.  I like working with acrylics, water-colors, pen & ink, colored pencil, and charcoal on paper and canvas.   For several projects in recent years I used a technique of air brush only with paint in a spray can.  Although there is spontaneity using this technique, there is also a great deal of control that makes it quite exciting.  In addition I have used my camera to capture my artwork but also the beautiful scenes, animals, and objects around my environment here in Orange, VA.

I studied at The Corcoran School of Art in Washington, D.C. as well as at Northern VA Community College while working full time (most of the time more than full time).  My business background included managing multiple operations at mid-management level for  mostly IT and communications companies.

Over the years in Northern Virginia I entered juried exhibitions, received awards, exhibited in galleries in the Washington, D. C.  area and was a member of the Alexandria Art League.  My work has been sold locally, throughout the U.S., as well as in South America.

I was born and raised in Upper Montclair, NJ, and came to the Washington, D.C. area in my early 20's.  After retiring in 2014, I moved to Orange, VA, where I now reside.

This website contains a compilation of my most recent works as well as earlier pieces.
